Dunk the Grinch.

Twelve balls. One very unhappy Grinch. Complete the driving section, stop in the designated zone and take your shot at the dunk tank.

How it works

  1. Follow the marked driving section and return to the designated stopping point.
  2. Once the vehicle is secured and the marshal releases you, the driver or passenger takes the throwing attempt.
  3. Try to trigger the dunk with the supplied balls. The judge records the result before you move on.

How you score

This is the time-to-dunk challenge. A successful dunk earns the elapsed time; an unsuccessful attempt receives the set maximum. The final time limit will be confirmed in the competitor briefing.

Full rules and the final course format will be shared before competition. Practice only at supervised closed-course sessions.

Ornament Basketball.

A Santa sack full of Christmas balls. Three bins to aim for. Make every throw count as your team works through the challenge.

How it works

  1. Every entry receives the same supply of lightweight Christmas balls.
  2. Follow the approved course and throwing procedure, aiming for the designated bins.
  3. The judge counts the balls that remain in the bins at the end of the attempt.

How you score

Each valid basket deducts time from your starting score. More successful baskets mean a lower score. The issued quantity and deduction per basket will be published with the final rules.

Full rules and the final course format will be shared before competition. Practice only at supervised closed-course sessions.

Antler Ring Toss.

Find the antlers. Land the rings. A clean throw can make the difference when the final scores get close.

How it works

  1. Collect your entry's matching set of rings before the attempt.
  2. Toss the rings at the designated reindeer-antler target using the approved throwing position.
  3. A ring must encircle an antler peg and remain supported there to count.

How you score

Each valid ring takes time off your starting score. Misses earn no deduction. Everyone receives the same number of rings; the final quantities and scoring values will be in the rules.

Full rules and the final course format will be shared before competition. Practice only at supervised closed-course sessions.

Christmas Tree Parking.

Bring precision to the Christmas scene. Park between the trees and aim for the smallest qualifying box.

How it works

  1. Complete the approved approach to the marked parking area.
  2. Finish with the car stationary inside the nested red, yellow and black target boxes.
  3. The judge checks your final position and awards the smallest box that your car qualifies for.

How you score

Red is the best result, followed by yellow and then black. Missing all three receives the highest score. Final box dimensions, boundary calls and time values will be shared before competition.

Ornament Hang.

The tree will not decorate itself. Put your coordination to work and make those ornament hooks find a branch.

How it works

  1. Start with the same supply of lightweight ornaments as every other entry.
  2. Use the approved course and handling procedure to place ornaments on the designated tree.
  3. At the final count, each ornament must still be hanging on an approved branch without being held.

How you score

Each valid hanging ornament earns a time deduction. Dropped ornaments and ornaments still held by a participant do not count. Final handling rules and quantities will be provided before the event.

Full rules and the final course format will be shared before competition. Practice only at supervised closed-course sessions.

Light Up the Tree.

Finish with a team decorating challenge. The planned finale combines ornaments and complete wraps around the Christmas tree.

How it works

  1. The proposed format starts with the vehicle parked, secured and engine off.
  2. Work as a team to wrap the supplied decorative prop around the tree and hang a fresh set of ornaments.
  3. The judge counts complete supported wraps and ornaments still hanging when the attempt ends.

How you score

Successful ornaments and complete wraps reduce the starting score. The final format, supplies and scoring values are being confirmed; follow the published rules and marshal briefing on the day.

Full rules and the final course format will be shared before competition. Practice only at supervised closed-course sessions.
